What is a website migration?
When you move your website from one hosting provider to another you need perform a number of steps. Transfer the domain. Move all of your files across from the old hosting provider to us. Move any associated databases across to our systems. Update your configuration files and settings and test things out so that the new system matches the old system perfectly.

How long does a migration take?
Migrations can vary depending on how complicated the website is. With Ladybird a standard website migration can take up to 48hrs to complete, this can vary depending on the complexity of the project and you should ensure your old hosting account remains active until the migration is fully complete and we’ve informed you that you can now shut down your old hosting account.
What information do we need?
When you contact us in relation to a migration we’ll put together a proposal for you. On approval of this proposal we will require full access to your existing website, your control panel account with your existing provider.
